First basic shape - a peg broken down into each section.
- draw the shapes and abstract them
Plastics, clay & metal - using a basic shape to create interesting shapes that could be deigned to have a purpose.
I liked the coil from the peg and used the idea for most of my plastic transformations.
The twisting idea worked really well, the bows could be transformed into any form of fashion item. This links back to the brief because clothes and accessories contain a person. The plastic was quite easy to use, very malleable and a great outcome.
There wasn't anything to photograph for the clay work.. we pressed textures into the surface but i didn't have time to shape the clay before it dried out.
paper & wire
Origional shape (sqaure) held together by the coil.
Friday - drawings of possible products inspired by shapes and maquettes.
